Jimeve O'Neill Counselling and Psychotherapy

I am a fully accredited psychotherapist with the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. I offer a confidential and supportive space for individuals seeking mental and emotional support. My goal is to help you navigate through life's ups and downs and reach a place of psychological well-being and safety. I provide counselling and psychotherapy in County Cork in my offices in Bishopstown and the town of Bandon in West Cork; I also offer online therapy.

Individual Therapy

Counselling provides a  confidential environment for you to address current difficulties or past experiences, supported by a qualified and trained  therapist who can offer empathy, and support without judgement.

My role will be to assist you in examining and understanding your emotions, reactions, and behaviours in a supportive and transparent manner.

Through fostering a warm and accepting relationship, I will collaborate with you to encourage the expression and exploration of your thoughts and  feelings on a journey of self-inquiry and self-discovery.

About Me

I am an IACP fully accredited Counsellor & Psychotherapist holding a BSc (Hons) degree in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy,  along with a H'Dip in Coaching Psychology.

My approach to my practice is integrative; each client's needs are different, and therefore this guides the therapy process. I have extensive experience in working therapeutically with individuals on a wide range of supports.

I have a particular interest in the use of internal family systems (IFS) as well as drawing from a number of theoretical frameworks, such as person-centred, transactional analysis, attachment, Gestalt, object relations, and solution-focused therapy.

I have been working in the area of social justice for the past 14 years and have a passion for supporting individuals and communities.

I am dedicated to providing compassionate and effective support. With a focus on evidence-based techniques drawing from my extensive training, I provide personalised support, and I am fully insured.

I am a member of the Irish Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (IACP) the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) Special Division, and the International Coaching Federation (ICF) working within the code and ethics of the same.
